Advanced AI: Check Work on Questionnaires, Document Checklists, and the Income Organizer

Glade now reviews your clients' questionnaires, bank statements, and pay stubs for you. It flags what usually gets missed, such as an undisclosed bank account, a 401(k) loan, or a garnishment, before the petition reaches the attorney.

Overview

The same small problems cause most amended schedules and most of the back-and-forth between intake, paralegals, and attorneys. A client forgets a Venmo account. A pay stub shows a retirement loan the questionnaire never mentioned. A transfer goes to a bank account nobody listed. Catching these by hand means reading every line of every statement and pay stub.

Check work is Glade's set of Advanced AI capabilities that does that reading for you. It's built into three places you already work:

  • Questionnaires: Glade AI reviews the answers for gaps, conflicts, and missing information.

  • Document checklists: Glade AI reads each uploaded bank statement for accounts and transactions you need to know about.

  • Income Organizer: Glade AI reads each pay stub for deductions and deposits that point to assets, debts, or accounts the client didn't disclose.

Every finding appears in one Check work tab and works the same way everywhere. You see what Glade found, why it matters, and the exact document or answer it came from. You then fix it, dismiss it, or override it with a note. The result is a cleaner petition the first time, and fewer cases sent back between teams.

What Glade AI looks for

Bank statements (document checklist)

  • Transfers to or from an account that isn't listed in the case

  • Payment apps such as Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal

  • Linked or overdraft-protection accounts shown on the statement

  • Single transactions of $600 or more

  • Payments to storage units, rent-to-own stores, gambling sites, or crypto exchanges

  • A statement where the account holder isn't the debtor

Pay stubs (Income Organizer)

  • Retirement contributions, such as a 401(k) or 403(b), and retirement loans

  • Life insurance and legal insurance or prepaid legal plans

  • Wage garnishments and support orders

  • Savings deductions, such as health savings accounts or stock purchase plans

  • Direct deposits into a bank account or payment app

  • A pay stub for someone who isn't the debtor

The Income Organizer also checks its own numbers: a missing pay date, totals that don't add up, and a possible duplicate pay stub. These clear as soon as you correct the value.

Questionnaires

  • Required answers that are missing or don't match each other

  • Information found elsewhere in the case that the questionnaire leaves out, such as other names the client has used that appear on the credit report

How it works

Questionnaires

  1. Open Check work: In the questionnaire, open the Check work tab and click Run check. Glade runs its standard checks and a Glade AI review together.

  2. Step through the findings: Check work opens on the walkthrough. It goes through one finding at a time, in questionnaire order, with Blocking and Advisory counts that go down as you work.

  3. Resolve each one: Answer the question, accept Glade's suggested answer (you can edit it first), keep the current answer, or skip. Click Show in context to see the field in its section.

  4. Override when it doesn't apply: Click Override on a blocking finding and enter a reason. Glade records who made the override, when, and why.

  5. Generate the petition: When you click Generate petition or Submit, Glade lists any findings that are still open. Only firm owners and admins can continue past a blocking finding.

A finished review is saved, so anyone on your team who opens the questionnaire later sees the same findings and when Glade reviewed them. Click Run check again after the client's answers change.

Document checklists

  1. Upload as usual: When a client or your team uploads a bank statement, Glade AI reviews it automatically. You don't need to start anything.

  2. Watch for Needs review: If Glade finds something, the document moves to Needs review on its own. A status a person already set is never overwritten.

  3. Open Check work: In the checklist, open the Check work tab. Each finding is a card marked Blocking or Advisory and grouped by checklist item.

  4. See the evidence: Click a finding to read what Glade found and why it matters. Click the statement to open it at the page Glade cited.

  5. Resolve it: Follow up on the finding, for example by adding the missing account to the case or asking the client. You can also dismiss it or override it with a note.

  6. Mark the item complete: A checklist item can't be marked complete while it still has open findings. Each one must be resolved or overridden with a note first.

Income Organizer

  1. Open the organizer: Pay stubs are reviewed as they're uploaded, including pay stubs filed in a different checklist on the same case.

  2. Check the row tags: Each pay stub row in the table shows N findings, Not reviewed, or Review failed.

  3. Open Check work: The Check work tab shows a summary, Blocking and Advisory counts, and one card per finding.

  4. Fix it in place: Click a pay stub on a finding to open Edit income data and the pay stub itself next to the finding, so you can correct numbers while you read. Use Back and Next to move between findings.

Key details

  • Blocking or Advisory: Blocking findings should be resolved before the case moves forward. Advisory findings are worth a look but may not need a change.

  • Overrides are recorded: Every override needs a note, and Glade keeps a log of who overrode what, and when.

  • Dismissals stay dismissed: When Glade reviews a document or questionnaire again, it doesn't bring back findings you already dismissed, unless the underlying data changed.

  • Glade AI flags, you decide: Glade never changes answers or documents on its own. Every change is made by you or approved by you.

  • Check work is for your team: Questionnaire Check work is visible to staff only.

  • Bank Statement Organizers: For accounts linked through Plaid, see Plaid Integration and Bank Statement Organizers.

FAQ

Q: Do I need to turn this on?
A: No. Check work is on for every firm. Bank statements and pay stubs are reviewed automatically when they're uploaded, and questionnaire reviews start when you click Run check.

Q: Glade flagged something that isn't a problem. What should I do?
A: Dismiss it, or override it with a short note explaining why. The note stays on the case so the attorney or the next person can see why it was cleared.

Q: Why can't I mark a checklist item complete?
A: It still has open findings. Resolve each finding, or override it with a note, in the Check work tab.

Q: Will the client see these findings?
A: Questionnaire findings are for your team only. To get information from the client, use a comment, a task, or the client chat as usual.

Q: A pay stub says "Review failed" or "Not reviewed." What does that mean?
A: Glade couldn't read that pay stub, or hasn't reviewed it yet. Look over it by hand, or re-upload a clearer copy.

Q: Does Check work replace Pre-Filing Review?
A: No. Check work catches problems while you prepare the case. Pre-Filing Review checks the e-filing packet right before you submit to the court.
