Bankruptcy Schedules Builder Overview

Bankruptcy Schedules Builder Overview

The Bankruptcy Schedules Builder is Glade's end-to-end system for completing all required bankruptcy schedules through a single, guided, auto-filled questionnaire. It streamlines the entire data-collection and form-generation process—saving your firm hours of manual entry on every case.

What the Schedules Builder Does

The Schedules Builder:

  • Collects all debtor information through a structured, dynamic questionnaire

  • Auto-populates all required schedules and statements (A/B, C, D, E/F, G, H, I, J, SoFA, Means Test, etc.)

  • Ensures the right questions appear based on case type and answers

  • Performs automatic calculations where required

  • Reduces duplicate data entry across forms

  • Allows your team to review, override, and edit any fields before filing

It's designed to act like a highly organized paralegal who gathers everything you need once—and keeps it perfectly synced across all schedules.

A Single Questionnaire for Every Required Schedule

Instead of navigating dozens of separate forms, your staff and clients answer one unified questionnaire that covers:

  • Personal and household details

  • Employment and income

  • Property and assets

  • Secured and unsecured debts

  • Executory contracts

  • Co-debtors

  • Business interests

  • Exemptions

  • Financial affairs

  • Expenses

  • Means test fields (when required)

The questionnaire adapts automatically to joint vs. individual cases, state exemptions, and jurisdictional requirements.

Auto-Filled Schedules (Review & Edit)

Once information is entered, Glade automatically fills:

  • Schedule A/B — Assets

  • Schedule C — Exemptions

  • Schedule D — Secured Claims

  • Schedule E/F — Unsecured Claims

  • Schedule G — Executory Contracts

  • Schedule H — Co-Debtors

  • Schedule I — Income

  • Schedule J — Expenses

  • Statement of Financial Affairs (SOFA)

  • Means Test forms, when required

Every field pulled into these schedules is editable. You can refine values, change classifications, add additional items, or override anything produced by the questionnaire.

Data Consistency Across Schedules

The Schedules Builder keeps everything synchronized:

  • Update an asset → it updates everywhere

  • Edit a debt → it flows into the correct schedule automatically

  • Adjust income → reflected in both Schedule I and any dependent calculations

  • Add information later → the system re-fills only the fields that changed, preserving your edits

This ensures accuracy and eliminates manual double-entry errors.

Importing from a Credit Report

If you've pulled a credit report for your client, you can import data directly into the Schedules Builder — saving time on manual entry for creditors, debtor information, addresses, and more.

How to Import

  1. Open the Schedules Builder for your case

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top of the questionnaire

  3. Select "Import data from credit report"

  4. Choose your import path

This is the safest and most common option. It imports only the creditor and trade line data from the credit report into your master creditor list — account names, balances, types, and statuses. No other data in the questionnaire is affected.

Use this when you've already entered debtor information, addresses, or property data and just need to populate the creditor list.

Import Selected Data (Advanced)

If you need to import more than just creditors, click "Import selected data (advanced)" to choose exactly which categories to bring in:

  • Debtor name & aliases — first name, last name, middle name, suffix, and known aliases

  • Addresses — current address, county, and previous addresses

  • Social Security number — SSN and last 4 digits

  • Creditors (trade lines) — the full master creditor list

  • Properties (Schedule A/B) — real estate and associated properties

Categories that already have data in your questionnaire will show an overwrite warning, so you can see exactly what will be replaced before confirming.

Important Notes

  • Importing replaces existing data in the selected categories — it does not merge with what's already there

  • If you only need creditors, always use the recommended "Import creditors only" option to avoid accidentally overwriting other sections

  • You can also import creditors directly from the master creditor list section of the questionnaire

Built-In Intelligence

The Schedules Builder includes smart features like:

  • Automatic classification of assets and debts

  • Duplicate detection

  • Structured prompts to gather missing information

  • State exemption awareness

  • Joint vs. individual ownership handling

  • Logic for dependent forms (e.g., means test triggers)

It's designed to reduce attorney and staff review time while improving the quality of the schedules produced.

Attorney Review Made Simple

For every schedule, your team can:

  • Review all fields line by line

  • Edit any value or description

  • Add additional entries

  • Override system logic

  • Download or export schedules

  • Prepare the final filing set

The system helps you complete cases faster while keeping full attorney oversight and control.
