Transcripts
Keep a record of your client calls and meetings right where your case lives. Glade lets you store transcripts on a workflow and on a client, so the conversation history travels with the case and the person.
Overview
Transcripts let you save the text of a call or meeting — for example, an intake call — against a case and the client it belongs to. Once saved, the transcript becomes part of the case record: anyone on your team can read it, update its details, and see which case it's tied to. Because transcripts also roll up onto the client's profile, you get one place to see every conversation you've had with a client across all of their cases.
How It Works
Add a transcript to a case
- Open the case (workflow) you want to add the transcript to — for example, a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy case.
- Go to Client Communication in the case, then select Transcripts (listed just below Discussion).
- Click Add transcript.
- Give it a title — for example, "Intake call transcript."
- Paste the transcript text from whatever software you used to capture the call.
- Set the call date and time — when the conversation actually happened (e.g. today at 10:00 AM).
- Choose the channel — how the conversation took place, such as a phone call.
- Click Add to save. The transcript is now recorded on the case.
View and edit a transcript
- Click any transcript to read the full text. Everyone on your team can view it.
- Edit the details — such as the title, transcript text, call date, or channel — whenever you need to. Glade keeps track of who last edited it.
- Each transcript shows the case it's linked to, so you always know where it belongs.
See all of a client's transcripts
- Open the client and go to View profile.
- Open their Transcripts to see every transcript for that client — gathered across all of their cases in one list.
- Click any transcript to view its full details.
This is especially helpful for clients with multiple cases: rather than hunting through each case, you can review the entire conversation history from the client's profile.
Key Details
- Transcripts are internal. They're visible to your team in Glade and are not shown to clients.
- Two places, one record. A transcript added to a case automatically appears on that client's profile, and vice versa — it's the same record in both views.
- Edits are tracked. Glade records who last edited a transcript and when.
- Length: a title can be up to 255 characters and the transcript text up to 100,000 characters.
FAQ
Q: Where do transcripts come from — does Glade record calls?
A: No. Glade doesn't record or transcribe calls for you. You capture the call in whatever tool you already use, then copy and paste the text into Glade to keep it on the case.
Q: Can a transcript be linked to more than one case?
A: Yes. A transcript lives with the client, so it can be associated with multiple cases for that client, and it will show up under each linked case as well as on the client's profile.
Q: Who can see a transcript?
A: Anyone on your team with access to the case or client can view and edit the transcript.
Q: Can I change the call date or channel after saving?
A: Yes. Open the transcript and edit its details at any time.
