How to Import Document Data into Bankruptcy Schedules

Overview

Glade automatically extracts data from uploaded documents (credit reports, paystubs, questionnaires) and makes it available to populate your bankruptcy schedules. This article explains how to import that data into the Schedules Questionnaire.

Step 1: Ensure the Data Sources Are Complete

Before importing, confirm the following are completed in the client's workflow:

  • Credit Report — pulled and approved by the client
  • Bankruptcy Client Questionnaire — submitted by the client
  • Income Organizer / Pay Organizer — paystubs uploaded and processed

If any of these are still in progress, complete them first. Data will not import from incomplete sources.

Step 2: Open the Schedules Questionnaire

  1. Go to the client's workflow in your Glade dashboard
  2. Click on the Bankruptcy Schedules Questionnaire task

Step 3: Import Data from the Client Questionnaire

Once inside the Schedules Questionnaire:

  1. Click the 3-dot action button in the upper right corner
  2. Select "Import data from client questionnaire"
Important: Importing will overwrite any changes you have manually made directly in the schedules. If you only need to refresh a single field, use the re-run autofill button on that specific field instead of doing a full import.

Step 4: Import Income Data from the Pay Organizer

If Schedule I or Form 122A-1 is not populating correctly (e.g., the Income Organizer was completed after the schedules were already open):

  1. Click the 3-dot action button in the upper right corner of the Schedules Questionnaire
  2. Select "Import data from pay organizer"

This manually triggers the income data import for Schedule I and the Means Test.

Step 5: Verify the Populated Fields

After importing, review the following key sections to confirm data populated correctly:

  • Schedule A/B — assets from credit report and questionnaire
  • Schedule I — income from pay organizer / paystubs
  • Schedule J — expenses from client questionnaire
  • Form 122A-1 — means test income (6-month calculation)
  • Schedule E/F — creditors from credit report

Troubleshooting

  • Data not importing? Confirm the source (questionnaire, credit report, pay organizer) is fully submitted and not still in progress.
  • Schedules were open before the client submitted? Use the manual import option (Step 3 or 4 above) to refresh the data.
  • Page crashes on import? See our guide: Fixing page crashes when importing questionnaire data
  • Only some fields populated? Use the field-level re-run autofill button to target specific missing fields without overwriting everything.
