How Workflows Get Linked to a Case (Glade 2.0)

How workflows get linked to a case

Overview

A case can show one or more entries under Linked Workflows. Workflows can end up linked to a case in two different ways: automatically, when the case is created from a template that bundles multiple workflows together, or manually, using the Link workflow button.

Note: This article is in review — the automatic-linking behavior described below needs to be confirmed against the current Glade 2.0 build before publishing.

How a workflow can become linked

1. Automatically, via a Service or template

Some Services (like Bankruptcy Matter) bundle multiple workflows together — for example, a Chapter 13 case that includes a Document Collection workflow as a companion. When a case is initiated from one of these templates, the companion workflow can appear under Linked Workflows immediately, without anyone manually linking it.

  1. Open the case and go to the Steps tab.

  2. Scroll to the Linked Workflows section.

  3. Click Link workflow.

  4. In the Select Workflow panel, choose the Service (e.g. Bankruptcy Matter, Immediate Debt Consultation, Credit Report Pull).

  5. Choose the specific workflow template within that Service.

  6. Click Next and complete the remaining steps in the wizard (Step 1 of 4).

Notes & tips

  • If a workflow appears under Linked Workflows and no one on your team remembers linking it manually, it most likely came from the underlying Service/template bundling it automatically at case creation.

  • Linked workflows appear together in intake status reports and share tasks visible to the client in their portal.

  • When contacting support about a linked workflow, provide the full client name or a workflow link so the correct record can be located quickly.
