Initiating Workflows
How to Initiate a Workflow (Start a New Case)
You can start a new workflow—also called initiating a case—directly from your Glade Dashboard. This is how you launch the intake process, document collection, signatures, billing, and more for a new or existing client.
Follow the steps below to initiate a workflow.
1. Open the Initiate Case Panel
You can open the case initiation flow in two ways:
Keyboard Shortcut (Fastest)
Press “C” on your keyboard from anywhere in the dashboard.
This immediately opens the Initiate Case window.
Or Click the Button
On the Dashboard Home Page, click Initiate Case at the top.
2. Select the Workflow
Choose the type of case or service you want to start.
Examples:

This determines the steps the client will go through.
3. Select the Customer
You can:
Search for an existing client, or

New clients will automatically receive access to their Glade portal once the workflow begins.
4. Assign Owners

Common roles include:

Assigning owners improves visibility and ensures tasks route to the right people.
5. Select the Attorney

This ensures the right signature lines, approval steps, and workflow routing.
6. Set Up the Invoice
Configure billing for the case:
Edit line items
Add or remove services
Create payment plans
Add or select payment methods
Set due dates and amounts
Everything you set here flows into the client’s portal immediately.

The final screen shows a summary of:
