How to Approve Your Credit Report Pull (Client Guide)

Overview

Your legal team has requested to pull your credit report as part of your bankruptcy case. Because this is a B2C (Business-to-Consumer) credit report pull, you must complete this step yourself — your attorney cannot do it on your behalf. This is a legal requirement to verify your identity before accessing your credit information.

The entire process takes about 2–3 minutes.

Step 1: Log into your client portal

Open your client portal using the link your law firm provided, or go directly to your firm's portal URL. It looks like:
https://app.glade.ai/[your-firm-name]/user-profile

If you haven't set up your account yet, check your email for an invitation from no-reply@glade.ai and follow the instructions to create your password.

⚠️ Do not go to app.glade.ai directly — this is the attorney dashboard. Always use the link your law firm sent you.

Step 2: Find the credit report task

Once logged in, you will see your Home screen with your active tasks. Look for a task labeled "Credit Report" or "Authorize Credit Report" with an Open button next to it. Click Open.

Step 3: Complete the enrollment form

You will see an Enrollment form asking for the following information:

  • First Name, Middle Name, Last Name — enter your legal name exactly as it appears on your ID

  • Social Security Number — your full 9-digit SSN

  • Date of Birth — in MM/DD/YYYY format

  • Cell Phone Number — the mobile number where you can receive a text message

  • Address — the address you used with your creditors within the past three months (street address, city, state, zip)

Once all fields are filled in, click Continue.

🔒 This information is submitted securely to StitchCredit (Glade's credit bureau partner) under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is used solely to verify your identity and pull your credit report. Your data is not shared or sold.

Step 4: Verify your identity via text message

After clicking Continue, StitchCredit will send a verification text message to the cell phone number you entered. This is to confirm you are the correct person authorizing the credit pull.

  1. Check your phone for a text from StitchCredit

  2. Open the link in the text message

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your identity

⚠️ If you don't receive a text within a few minutes, check that the phone number you entered is correct and try again. Make sure your phone can receive SMS messages.

Step 5: Authorize the credit report pull

Once your identity is verified, you will be prompted to authorize the credit report pull. This gives your law firm permission to access your credit information for your bankruptcy case.

Click Authorize (or the equivalent confirmation button on screen) to complete the process.

Step 6: You're done

Once authorized, your credit report will be pulled automatically. Your legal team will be notified and the data will flow into your case. You do not need to do anything else for this step.

Your portal home screen will update to show this task as Completed.

Troubleshooting

  • "I filled it out but it keeps saying I need to complete it" — This usually means the identity verification via text was not completed. Go back to your portal, reopen the credit report task, and check whether you received and followed the text message link.

  • "It's taking me to a sign-in page" — Make sure you are logged into your client portal (not the attorney dashboard). Use the link your law firm sent you. If you're unsure, go to https://app.glade.ai/auth/logout to log out completely, then log back in using your firm's portal link.

  • "I didn't receive a text message" — Confirm your cell phone number was entered correctly. Check that your phone can receive SMS. Contact your legal team if the issue persists.

  • "I don't know my firm's portal link" — Contact your attorney or paralegal and ask them to resend your portal invitation.
